Get involved with the Great Big Green Week

The UK’s biggest ever event for climate and nature will be running from 18th to 26th September. Thousands of grassroots events will be taking place in communities across the country as part of the Great Big Green Week organised by The Climate Coalition – the UK’s largest network of organisations working on climate change.

On the Great Big Green Week’s site, you can search for what’s happening in your area and easily send an email to your MP urging them to take action. They have provided an easy to use email template. You simply type your postcode, make a few tweaks to the email and then it is sent straight to your MP.

There are loads of in-person events as well as online events like the free webinar with leading climate scientist Professor Kevin Anderson. Hosted by the amazing CAT (Center for Alternative Technology). One I’m definitely going to try is An Evening on a Buddhist Response to Climate Change on 21st via zoom.

The Great Big Green Week will be an opportunity for us to celebrate together after the difficulties of the past year and look ahead to how we can create a cleaner, greener, healthier world. So please get involved, enjoy the week and learn a little along the way.
